Editors note: Fr. LeRoy is enjoying some well-deserved time off for himself. For this week’s message Lisa Neu our Faith Formation Director for the ACC writes about this years Faith Formation program:
Thank you to everyone who took the time to attend our Faith Formation Open House and Ministry Fair last Wednesday! Families were able to view some sample classrooms, learn about the faith formation schedule, and meet people in our parishes involved in social, fellowship, liturgical and educational ministries!
Our first night of classes for grades preK-9 is October 9. Registration and registration forms are available online if you still need to register ( www.stpetestpaul.org , choose Faith Formation --> 2019 Registration from the drop-down menu ). Each night of faith formation, our schedule will be as follows:
-5:15 -6:00 pm, Community Meal in the gym, ALL ARE WELCOME!
-6:15-6:25 pm, parents and students gather in the church for prayer and announcements, then
are dismissed to classes.
Classes run from
6:15-7:15 for the traditional model, grades preK-9; and
Catechesis of the Good Shepherd runs from
Our Confirmation Discipleship Training Sessions
started 9/11 and run through 12/11 from 7:30-9:00 pm.
I look forward to the energy having more people in the building will bring to our combined faith formation program, and I am happy to share that our communities have generously filled every lead catechist position for the 2019-2020 year! Some positions are still available as classroom helpers, hall monitors, and with the community meal.
You’ll see some new(ish) faces helping me pull together our faith formation programs this year. Peg Imholte, member of St. Joseph’s in Waite Park, and Elaine DeWenter, member of St. Michael’s have joined the faith formation staff and will be assisting in bringing together our four parishes into one ACC faith formation program. Please welcome them with the same grace and generosity you welcomed me!
Finally, a year of transition like this one requires a lot of work, but also your support! Would you pray for our catechists, volunteers, and students as we embark on a new year?
