Week of September 29, 2019

Attached to your bulletin this week is the results of our Annual Parish Financial Reports for the year 2018-19. Please take a look at them. Our fiscal year begins on July 1st and ends June 30th. Once a year, we are required to make public how we are doing financially as a Parish Corporation. Just so everyone knows, although we have a new Area Catholic Community of St. Peter, St. Paul, St. Michael, and St. Joe, each parish remains a separate corporation and so keeps its own financial records and well as their own income and expense. For us here at St. Peter and St. Paul, although we have had to watch our income and expense closely, the good news is that both parishes ended with another year in the “Black!” This is in large part, thanks to you who are so generous and who are such good “Stewards” in Christ!

We have so many things to be thankful for in our parishes here at St. Peter and St. Paul. We have an excellent staff and great people in our various programs and ministries such as: our choirs and liturgical ministers, funeral groups, our Faith Formation Program, Bible Study and Prayer groups, our ‘Gather Us In’ program, Art and Soul theatre production, Theatre Camp, Vacation Bible School, our Saturday Meal program where we offer a great meal 2X a month for those in need, our Church of the Week which offers temporary overnight housing for 2 weeks/year, our Habitat for Humanity projects, Potatoes for Charity, our Pro-life Advocacy groups, our All Saints Academy Catholic School, our Parish Breakfasts, Coffee Bar after Mass, our Knights of Columbus and Women’s groups which are so helpful, our Chartered Scouting Troops, our monthly 2nd collections for a variety of charities and the list goes on! Everyone does a great job of being “Good Stewards,” so please keep up the good work! Your kindness and generosity shows at the end of the year, not just for those on the inside of our church walls, but also for those outside our church as well! So, thank you again, and God bless!
