This weekend we have our All Saints Academy Breakfast at our parish of St. Peter. Our breakfast is Sunday (today) September 22nd and runs from 8:00 am. to 12:00 noon. The cost is $8.00 for adults and $5.00 for children. If you are able, please consider coming to St. Pete’s and join us for a delicious breakfast and to support our local Catholic School here at ASA! Chances are you will see parents and children from our school helping serve as well, which is an important lesson for the kids.
Catholic Schools and Catholic Education is so important for our children today. Those adolescent years are very formative with regard to a child’s beliefs and morals and value system. A Catholic grade-school education reaches our children that just the right stage to help them become good people and disciples for Christ. What our children learn and the impressions they receive in these first years are what they often carry with them for the rest of their adult lives. It’s important that they have a good start!
We are just getting into the rhythm of our new school 2019-20 year here at ASA. Our children are getting used to their new teachers and classmates and our young Pre-school children are also feeling more secure in their new daily schedules. It essential that our children feel loved and safe as they enter a new environment! It’s also important that they grow and learn! With the help of Paula Lieder, our principal, we are off to another great start!
On side note, on Saturday, October 26th ASA will also be hosting their “Work-a-Thon.” This annual event is where our ASA children and parents volunteer to help rake yards, clean sidewalks, etc. Basically help people in our neighborhood prepare their yards for the Winter. We are doing this in conjunction with all the CCS “Catholic Community of Schools” in our St. Cloud area. This is also an important fundraiser for us here at ASA, so we ask for a donation to also help support our ASA school. All donations go directly to our ASA Schools itself. Letters will be going out on October 1st asking if you would like our children and parents to help clean your yard. Please consider inviting them and making a donation…or if you have no need for yard clean-up, simply donate to the cause! Anyone can donate or ask for help cleaning their yards, so please make a request.
Cheers to our Catholic Schools, our children, our parents, our teachers, our volunteers and all our paid staff who continue to make our school the great environment of learning that it is!
