I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those from our twinned parish communities who participated in our Christmas Liturgies, those who regularly attend our Masses, those who are home for the holidays, and even those who simply dropped in. It was great to see so many people gathered to celebrate the birth of our Lord! Christmas is such a meaningful time of year as we celebrate the “Prince of peace” who has come to be with us.
I would also like to extend my sincere thanks to all who helped make our Holiday celebrations possible, all our choirs, our liturgists, our musicians, our liturgical ministers and our volunteer decorators who made our services so meaningful and beautiful. It takes everyone working together to truly celebrate our faith in the Lord! You did a wonderful job! Special thanks to those who responded so generously to our annual Christmas Collection too. Your kindness and willingness to share and contribute financially truly demonstrates Christ’s Spirit of giving this season. We do depend on these funds to keep our parishes vibrant and going strong. If you have not yet contributed, it’s never too late to help us.
Finally, special thanks to those who either sent me a taste of their Christmas goodies or sent a Christmas Card or a gift, or other well-wishes this Holiday Season. Your kindness truly warms my heart! Since I really don’t have the time to write a card saying, “Thank you!” I am doing so here. “Thanks!” for your prayers and your wonderful support. I continue to feel very welcomed as your pastor these 4 ½ years… already! For my part I will continue to try to do my best. Thank goodness I have a good staff.
“Merry Christmas to all and here’s to a Happy, Healthy New Year!”
