With the changing of times and seasons I thought you might enjoy this poem someone sent me from the parish. I think Fall in particular is a season that compels us to contemplate the changing of various times and seasons of our own life. When I received this poem, it caused me to reflect upon the mysteries of nature, of my life and of God. I hope you enjoy this poem too. It’s entitled: “Half Naked Trees.”

Half naked trees,

Blowing in the gentle breeze,

Hanging on leaves,

Most tenaciously.

Afraid to let go,

Reluctant to admit,

Falls leads to Winter,

Unwilling to submit,

To respond to nature’s whims,

Seasons unfolding.
