This past weekend (Saturday October 10th) the Church of St. Paul put on their annual “Harvest Dinner.” This dinner was open to all senior citizens within our parish communities who have been such an important part of our parish family. Many of our seniors, although no longer able to be very involved and volunteer as much anymore, in the past have been absolutely essential to our parish life and growth and history! So, to those seniors who are still actively involved and to those seniors who have done more than their fair share… “Thanks!” Special thanks also to Deacon Dave Lindmeier who has coordinated this event for so many years and to all those who helped cook and serve the wonderful meal as well.
On a second note, this Friday October 23rd the Cathedral High School will be honoring two of our own from St. Peter: Red and Lynn Grewing. The Cathedral High School wants to thank them for their hard work and dedication to the growth and success of our Catholic School. Lynn has been the Principal of Cathedral High School for 15 years and has done an excellent job supporting our students, creating an outstanding learning environment, and promoting healthy relationships. Red, her husband, has worked for Quinlivan and Hughes Law for 16 years. He too has been a great supporter of our Catholic High School as well. As we know, one’s success is often built upon the support of the other spouse, and so Red has done a wonderful job supporting Lynn in her work as principal. Both will be honored with the “Golden Crusader Award” at the “Heritage Dinner” sponsored by the Cathedral High School on Friday, October 23rd at the Gorecki Event Center, College of St. Benedict, St. Joseph, MN. To all of you….Thanks so much!
