Week of April 5, 2015
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who were involved with our Holy Week and Easter Liturgies. There were wonderful celebrations of our faith and the Paschal Mystery of Christ. Jesus is risen and we are saved by his life! Special thanks to our decorating committees, our parish liturgists, our choirs, our altar servers who also had to come in for practice and all our volunteer ministers who helped put on our various ceremonies. Thanks to those who helped put at our Seder Meal at St. Peter prior to our Holy Thursday Masses, and those from St. Paul who helped with the Easter Vigil celebration and helped put on our wine and cheese reception after the Holy Saturday night. Special thanks to Fr. Al Stangl and Fr. Gerry Dalseth who helped me personally to preside over some of these services and to Deacon Dave Lindmeier and Deacon Bill Ritchie for their important part. Last but not least, I would like to thank all of you who participated in our Holy Week Liturgies as we celebrated our new beginnings, our new Spring time in Christ! Finally, thanks to those who also responded to my Easter letter by contributing so generously to our Easter Collection which helps our annual parish budget so much. I hope you and your families have a very Happy and Blessed Easter Season! Enjoy the sunshine!
One last note for those at St. Paul. Our long awaited new sound system in the church will now begin to be installed starting Monday April 6th after Easter Sunday. Gerry Stinson Audio (GSAUDIO), a very knowledgeable and experienced company, has been chosen by our Sound System committee to do the work. We have had many meetings with them and they promise to do an excellent job. This part the project will take a couple weeks. We are also planning on doing a remodel of the choir area to also help improve our sound. This segment of the project will take a bit longer, but our hope is the have this part completed by June. The new system and choir area should really help improve everyone’s ability to hear and engage even more fully in our Sunday liturgies. We can look forward to this! In the meantime, I ask that everyone please be patient with the remodel and build process as we go forward. Monies for all this have been allocated from our Journey in Faith Capital Campaign. Thank you!
