Parish Websites are a great means of communication. If you are unable to pick up a weekend bulletin because you were out of town or you want to gain more information about a particular ‘goings-on’ within our twined parish communities or learn how you may get more involved, our Parish Website is a great way to do it! “In God We Trust.” These words are written on every coin and every paper currency printed here in the United States. Beginning in the 1860s after the experience of the Civil War, the 1 and 2 cent coins were the first to be minted with these words. Over the course of the next 90 years or so, various other coins began to have these words printed on them as well. Memorial Gifts to the Church Family and friends often wish to honor the memory of a loved one in a special way. Our parishes offer a “Ministry of Remembrance,” or memorials that may take a variety of forms: Mass Stipends-a Mass is offered for those who have recently died or upon the anniversary of a death. One name is read at any given Mass. The diocese has set this stipend at $10 but an offering of any amount is acceptable. Family members often gather at the Mass, finding strength and comfort in the Eucharist and community prayer.
