The Mayors Prayer Breakfast is an annual event hosted by the Christian Business Men’s Connection. The event this year takes place on Thursday November 21st at the River Center from 6:30am until about 9am. The featured speaker this year is Lee Strobel – a prior investigative journalist and outspoken atheist who converted to Christianity. His story, A Case for Christ, is a 1998 book made into a 2017 award winning movie.
Our parish has a table at the event and would like to get the seats filled. Contact Joe Maiers at 320-290-1030 or email@example.com to reserve your seat.
There is also a 7pm evening event that same night with Lee Strobel – “A skeptics Surprise” at the River Center as well. Seats are available at that event as well. Contact Joe for seats.
A community meal is served each Wednesday faith formation classes are in session. Cost is a $1 donation per person. PB&J are always available as an alternative menu should children need that option. Volunteers are welcomed to help set up, serve and clean-up. Contact the faith formation office to volunteer, or just show up!
THANK YOU to everyone who supported and contributed to the "bottle"
fundraiser for ELEVATE (formally Birthline) during Oct. Your ongoing
support to help build a culture of life in our church and community is
most appreciated. Your financial support and prayers are very much
needed and appreciated. At this time our SPIRITUALLY ADOPTED
BABIES are 7 months old! (that is 25-28 weeks). They are now between
14 and 17 inches in length, weighing about 41/2 pounds. Their eyes are
open, eye lashes have developed, lungs are fully developed. The babies
respond to light and sound--they can recognize their mothers' voices,
. They can taste and even look around the womb. All systems will
grow and mature dramatically in the coming weeks. 70% of babies born
between 22 and 26 weeks lived past age one and continue to thrive,
thanks to modern medicine. Please continue to pray for the babies and
their parents. THANK YOU!
We are in need of volunteers to help with Home Delivered Meals. If you can spare some time to drive or deliver please call Tom at 252-0126. Our next week to deliver will be December 2nd-6th. Thank you.
